This definitely recreates the original theatrical experience. My dad felt like he was in the theater from 1980 for Empire Strikes Back. The non-dnr gives it a great vintage look. Would highly recommend.

Other than the third film having lossy Dolby 5.1 audio instead of DTS-HD 5.1 like with the first two, these look and sound wonderful!

Really felt special to watch all 3 for May the 4th. Not just the original, uncut releases, but seeing the real film print stuff too! Seeing the reel switch cue pop up warmed my heart for whatever reason. Must see for the true fans and physical collectors. Beautiful artwork for the cases as well. And loved seeing sellers who are fellow Michiganders! Just be aware before purchase of the distinction between the non-DNR and DNR copies. Both versions are for sale.

This set is such a great collector's piece but also the transfers are really good. The 3 arrived in perfect condition, if you are even remotely interested in this, I say get it.

Holy moly! These are the best versions available. Better than d+ streaming, better than the blu ray or HD you can buy. I have them all. This is hands down the best. Perfectly packaged, timely arrival. These are now centerpieces of my 4K physical collection.
